Online Basic Arbitrator Training Course (Part I)
This skills course covers each stage of the arbitration process and reviews the procedures that arbitrators must follow to successfully complete an arbitration case. This course requires a thorough review of online self-study materials and completion of an exam. The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions and requires a minimum passing score of 80 percent (20 correct answers). You will have a maximum of two attempts to pass the exam.
After you have successfully completed this course online, you will be ready to take the Expungement training. The Expungement training is also a required course.
The Basic Arbitrator Training course and exam take approximately eight hours to complete, and can be done over a period of 30 days from the date of registration.
FINRA's normal tuition for the Basic Arbitrator Training Program is $125. FINRA is currently waiving this fee and offering this course to arbitrators at no charge.
