Facsimile Machines: FINRA Dispute Resolution does not have a facsimile machine dedicated to party and arbitrator usage; however, if you need to send or receive a facsimile you may use our office's facsimile machine at no charge. The facsimile number is (312) 236-9239.
Faxing: The general office fax number is (312) 236-9239. As a courtesy, visitors may receive faxes free of charge. All incoming faxes must be clearly marked with the visitor’s name and the conference room assigned to the hearing. If you are expecting a fax, please notify the receptionist. You may retrieve faxes in the reception area. In order to avoid interruptions to the arbitration or mediation, we will not deliver the faxes to the conference rooms. The cost for sending a fax from our office is $.50 per page.
File Retrieval: FINRA Dispute Resolution staff will retrieve an archived closed file for parties only. The cost for retrieval of a file is $25.00 and the cost to return the file to archives is $25.00. These charges will be passed on to the party requesting the file.
Restroom Facilities: are located outside the office. The men's room is located in the first hallway as you turn to the right outside our office entrance. After 5:00 p.m., access to the floor will be restricted to those individuals who have security cards. If you will need access to the suite after 5:00 p.m., please contact any of our staff members in advance to arrange for after-hours access.
Photocopies: The FINRA Dispute Resolution staff can make copies for parties at a charge of 50 cents per page for up to 15 pages. Please contact either the receptionist or the staff attorney assigned to your case for photocopy assistance. In the event there is a large photocopy requirement, please use an off-site service.
Storage of Materials: Parties and arbitrators must make arrangements with the FINRA Dispute Resolution staff attorney to leave any materials overnight in the conference room; however, there are no locks on the conference room doors. Accordingly, FINRA Dispute Resolution assumes no responsibility for loss and or theft of exhibits stored overnight. If parties wish to ship documents to FINRA Dispute Resolution in advance of a hearing, they may do so. FINRA Dispute Resolution staff will place the documents in the hearing room. FINRA Dispute Resolution cannot store exhibits between hearing dates due to space constraints; therefore, parties must make arrangements for pick-up or shipment of materials following the conclusion of a hearing or dates of hearing. FINRA Dispute Resolution staff will not be responsible for arranging shipment or transfer of documents to another location; however, parties may arrange to have documents picked up and shipped from FINRA Dispute Resolution’s office.
