Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators FINRA Dispute Resolution asks its mediators to adhere to the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators and to use it as a guide for their conduct in FINRA Dispute Resolution mediations. These standards were first formulated by the American Bar Association, the American Arbitration Association, and the Association for Conflict Resolution in 1994 and revised by the same organizations in August of 2005 in response to the exponential growth in the field of mediation.
