FINRA Revises Date to Begin Dissemination of Odd Lot Transactions

FINRA has revised the date it will begin disseminating odd lot transactions via the Trade Data Dissemination Service (TDDS). The new proposed date for this implementation is Monday, December 9, 2013.

Due to the new implementation date, FINRA has rescheduled the user acceptance tests scheduled for October 12 and October 19. The new user acceptance test dates are listed below.

To support odd lot trade dissemination, FINRA will introduce the new sale condition modifier, Odd Lot Trade ("I"), which will be available to any participant to distinguish a trade resulting from a market center's execution in increments less than the defined round lot size. Odd Lot Trade transactions will be included in volume statistical calculations only. The Odd Lot Trade modifier value "I" will appear in the Sale Condition field of TDDS transaction messages.

Revised Testing Details—NTF

Authorized firms can continue to enter and process test odd lot transactions via the NASDAQOMX Testing Facility (NTF) through Friday, December 6, 2013. Testing in the NTF during this period will be free of charge.
