User Acceptance Testing for TRACE TBA Transaction and SPDS—October 20, 2012

FINRA will conduct a production User Acceptance Test (UAT) on Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) to allow participants to test the modifications to support securitized products TBA trade reporting and dissemination. The modifications include a change to the required reporting timeframe of TBA transactions, as well as the dissemination of eligible TBA transactions via the new Securitized Products Dissemination Service (SPDS) data feed (available to authorized subscribers). This will be the final user production test offered before the TBA modifications go live on Monday, November 5, 2012.

Participation

All firms that report to TRACE—including service bureaus that use the Computer-to-Computer Interface (CTCI) or Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocols, and firms that use the Web browser to report transactions—are eligible to participate in the UAT. Participants must register for the test in advance as described below.

CTCI and FIX users are required to connect via their production circuits. TRACE trade reporting Web users should use the production URL https://www.finratraqs.org.

Firms can access the Reference Data files via the Web API. Users must state the file they wish to download in the query strings, as described in the Securitized Products API Specification.

Data vendors that process the new SPDS data feed are also encouraged to participate in the test as transaction data entered into the system during the test will be disseminated via the SPDS feed. Vendor participants must register for the test in advance and provide details on their service as described below.

Test Registration

To participate, firms must register no later than 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

Testing Details/Script

The UAT will start at approximately 9 a.m., ET and end at approximately 11 a.m., ET. The conference line listed below will be open for the duration of the test. Due to a limited number of lines, firms should consider sharing the line if calling from the same location.

Note: This is a common bridge line with many participants. Users needing to conduct internal dialogue during the test are reminded to facilitate those conversations off line. In addition, if participants step away from the participant call, FINRA requests these lines be put on mute and not hold.
