New Issue Form for TRACE Reporting

On Monday, July 22, 2013, FINRA will modify the TRACE New Issue form, which is available through the FINRA Firm Gateway, to change some information that is required when a user selects 6760 or 6730. In some instances, firms may no longer be required to enter the Pricing/Issue date.

If a firm enters the Pricing/Issue Date, the Pricing Time field will be opened for optional entry.

Additionally, the First Trade/Execution Date will be available for entry if it differs from the Pricing/Issue Date. Once it is entered, the Time of First Execution will be opened for optional entry.

In addition, FINRA is implementing new security procedures for the FINRA Entitlement. Effective Saturday, July 20, 2013, the first time users log onto a FINRA Entitlement system/application, including the TRACE New Issue Form, they will be required to select three security questions and provide a response to each question. For additional information, please refer to the answers to frequently asked questions and visit the FINRA Entitlement page.
