Fees & Accounting
The Web CRD system facilitates the collection and disbursement of fees associated with filings processed through the system. The links available on this Web Page provide important information on registration-related fees and payments, as well as guidance with the CRD Accounting functionality.
Important: Web CRD/IARD Accounting Shutdown Period
FINRA will be upgrading its accounting software beginning Thursday, June 16, through Monday, June 20, 2011. Payments received during this period for your Web CRD or IARD Daily Account will not post or be available for fees assessed. To ensure that your firm’s filings continue to process during this system upgrade, you must have sufficient funds deposited in your firm’s Daily Account by Wednesday, June 15, to cover all costs associated with planned filings.
Please consider delivery and processing time when submitting payment:
Payments made during the period when payment processing is suspended will post to the firm’s Daily Account on Tuesday, June 21. Additionally, updated Account Activity Reports will not be available until June 21.
Please Note: As of March 21, 2011, the Web CRD Daily Account Status is determined based on a firm's running balance which adjusts throughout the day as fees are assessed. The firm's running balance reflects either a "Current Credit Balance" meaning their account status is sufficient or a "Current Amount Due" indicating a deficient account status. If during the day a firm's Daily Account balance becomes $0 or less, its account status will become deficient; subsequent transactions will continue to be assessed fees, however, Web CRD will apply a funds deficiency to exam and registration requests that will be detailed in your Funds Deficient Transactions queue. At a minimum your firm must deposit sufficient funds to cover the Current Amount Due in order for all of your transactions to be processed.
Please refer to the Web CRD Accounting Quick Reference Guide or the Accounting Chapter of the Web CRD User Manual for detailed information on the accounting functionality.
