The FINRA Institute at Wharton
Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional™ (CRCP™) Program Scholarship

The FINRA Institute at Wharton Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional™ (CRCP™) Program Scholarship awards industry professionals from small firms—those with less than 150 registered representatives—with a scholarship that covers full tuition for the entire program, including room and board for the residential courses at Wharton. FINRA is offering three scholarships to be awarded in 2010.

About the CRCP Program
The FINRA Institute at Wharton CRCP Program provides compliance, legal and regulatory professionals with an in-depth understanding of the foundation, theory and practical application of securities laws and regulation. Graduates of the program earn the designation of CRCP. The program includes 20 days of classroom education, including two weeklong sessions in residence at Wharton. More information about the CRCP Program is available at www.finra.org/crcp.

Application Criteria
Individuals who apply for a scholarship must hold a FINRA registration with a FINRA member firm that has 150 or fewer registered representatives. In addition, the applicants' job function must include compliance and/or regulatory responsibilities. Scholarships are awarded to the individual and to the firm and are not transferable. Therefore, if an individual leaves the firm for any reason and moves to another small firm, that individual must reapply during the next scholarship selection period.

Selection Process
A subcommittee of the FINRA Small Firm Advisory Board (SFAB) will select scholarship recipients through blind selection, meaning the subcommittee will not have access to identifying information such as the applicant's name or the name of the applicant's firm. The subcommittee will consider the applicant's experience in the financial services industry, as well as his or her compliance responsibilities in the overall structure of the firm, as described through the applicant's written statement. All applicants will be notified when their applications have been received, along with more information regarding the selection timeline.
