SEC Approves Amendments to Membership Application and Continuation Rules (Rules 1011, 1014, and 1017)

Executive Summary

On December 22, 2003, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved amendments to Rules 1011, 1014, and 1017 to add additional criteria for NASD's Department of Member Regulation (Department) to consider when reviewing an application for membership.1 The Rule 1010 Series governs the membership application and membership continuation processes.
