Proposed Rule Change to Adopt FINRA Rule 3270 (Outside Business Activities of Registered Persons) in the Consolidated FINRA Rulebook
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) (f/k/a National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (“NASD”)) is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC” or “Commission”) a proposed rule change to adopt NASD Rule 3030 (Outside Business Activities of an Associated Person) as FINRA Rule 3270 (Outside Business Activities of Registered Persons) in the consolidated FINRA rulebook with moderate changes. The proposed rule change would delete Incorporated NYSE Rule 346 (Limitations – Employment and Association with Members and Member Organizations) and its interpretations.
