Investor Alert
Putting Too Much Stock In Your Company—A 401(k) Problem
Now is a good time to ask yourself if you hold too much of your retirement nest egg in your employer's stock.
NASD is issuing this Alert because it is concerned that employees who have the opportunity to invest in company stock may be concentrating too much of their retirement savings in a single security. NASD is particularly concerned about employees who have all or most of their 401(k) assets in their employer's stock. If the stock takes a beating, so does your retirement savings.
Simply stated, if you put too many eggs in one basket, you can expose yourself to significant risk.

Real-Time Corporate Bond Transaction and Price Data is Now Available to Individual Investors at NASD BondInfo
In what may be the most significant development benefiting retail bond investors in decades, NASD has begun full dissemination of transaction and price data on the entire universe of publicly traded corporate bonds — which currently number approximately 29,000.
Individual investors can now get free real-time corporate bond trade data at NASD BondInfo.
"This is a market that has been largely a mystery to retail investors — even though two out of three corporate bond transactions are carried out at the retail level," said Doug Shulman, NASD's President of Markets, Services and Information. "NASD believes there is no better way to build investor trust than for the markets to operate in total daylight."
NASD's Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine, known as TRACE, is the source of the real-time corporate bond data used by NASD BondInfo and a growing number of financial information outlets.
