Are Your Credit Reports Error-Free?
A new study by the FTC finds that one in five consumers had an error on at least one of their credit reports. These errors can result in more expensive loans, credit cards and insurance premiums for you.
Be sure to get a copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit reporting agencies at AnnualCreditReport.com—the official website to get free credit reports from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. You can also call (877) 322-8228 to request your free credit reports.
You can follow the FINRA Foundation’s action plan to see what to look for on your credit reports, and how to resolve any errors you may find.
