Welcome to FINRA

What is FINRA?

FINRA is the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority—the largest independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. We don’t sell a thing—we regulate securities firms and stockbrokers that do. Our job is to protect investors every day by keeping the country’s capital markets fair. As a not-for-profit financial resource, FINRA offers unbiased information on a full range of issues that affect your money and investments.

Our goal? To provide you—the investor—with the tools you need to avoid problems and protect yourself in today’s complex world of investing.
