NASD and NYSE Jointly Announce Moment of Reflection and Remembrance for Victims in Littleton, Colorado

 

Washington, D.C.—Frank Zarb, Chairman and CEO of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD®), parent of The Nasdaq-Amex Market GroupSM, and Richard Grasso, Chairman and CEO of the New York Stock Exchange, today announced that the New York Stock Exchange, The Nasdaq Stock Market®, and the American Stock Exchange® will observe one minute of reflection and remembrance at noon on Monday, April 26, 1999, to remember the victims, the families, and the entire community of Littleton, Colorado. Messrs. Zarb and Grasso are jointly calling on the other markets to take the same action.

 

In making this announcement, Messrs. Zarb and Grasso stated that "we encourage our colleagues to take a minute at noon on Monday to honor the memory of the victims and all of those impacted by this tragedy."
