If English is your second language, you may request additional time for your session when scheduling your appointment.  When you arrive at the delivery location for your appointment, you must provide the test center staff with a letter from your firm on company letterhead indicating that English is your second language. The letter must be written in English, include your name, social security number and/or CRD number and bear the original signature of your supervisor/manager. Faxed or photocopied letters that do not contain an original signature will not be accepted.  Your firm may use this sample ESL letter as a guide when drafting the letter.  

For exams up to 2 hours, an extra 30 minutes will be added to the session.  For exams longer than 2 hours, an extra 60 minutes will be added to the session.  For the Series 7 examination, an extra 30 minutes will be added to each part of the exam.  View a list of examinations, their costs, number of questions and length of time. 

Please note: ESL candidates should not schedule their exams online or through a local test center. Both testing center networks require that ESL candidates schedule their exams through their National Registration Centers.
