FINRA Entitlement Account Administrators Web Tutorial

The links below direct you to valuable, hands-on tutorial topics regarding the new FINRA Entitlement Program. If you are an Account Administrator for your organization, you can walk through the new screens and processes involved in managing your users' accounts; i.e., creating, viewing, editing, cloning, and deleting user accounts, as well as changing passwords and updating account statuses.

 

You can proceed through the topics of the tutorial as a series to get a full picture of the responsibilities of an Account Administrator, or you can select specific topics for which you need more information.

 

Each tutorial topic progresses at a predetermined pace, but you have the option to pause the topic at any time using the Tool Bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. You can also rewind or fast-forward the tutorial to fit your own pace.

 

NOTE: Before you begin, you should check your screen resolution to ensure the best view of the tutorial. The screen resolution should be set to 1024 x 768.

 

At the end of each topic, you will find "Knowledge Checks," which include true/false and multiple-choice questions that reinforce the information covered in the tutorial. Your answers will not be logged or scored. If you answer a question incorrectly, you will be provided with the correct answer and further clarification on the correct answer.

FINRA Entitlement Overview - this topic introduces the FINRA Entitlement Program and explains the responsibilities of organization Account Administrators.

 

Account Management - this section is divided into seven topics. The topics cover the different functionality available in the Account Management site.

 

  • Navigation and Screen Design - this topic introduces the layout of Account Management and demonstrates how to navigate within the site.
  • Create a New User Account - this topic demonstrates the process of creating an account for a new user at your organization.
  • View a User's Account - this topic explains how to search for and view accounts of users in your organization.
  • Change a User's Password and Account Status - this topic describes the processes of viewing a user's account status, determining whether the status can and/or should be changed, and resetting a user's password.
  • Edit a User's Account - this topic shows you how to update information and/or entitlement in a user's account and how to disable and reactivate user accounts.
  • Delete a User's Account - this topic explains how and why you should delete a user account.
  • Clone a User's Account - this topic defines cloning and demonstrates the process of cloning a user's account.
