Amendments to TRACE Reporting Requirements and Dissemination of Agency Pass-Through Mortgage-Backed Securities TBA’s Postponed until November 12, 2012
Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy on the Northeast region of the United States, and the difficulties for firms to operate in a normal capacity, FINRA will postpone the release scheduled to be implemented on Monday November 5, 2012. This release, which addresses the amendments to FINRA Rule 6700 Series and TRACE dissemination protocols regarding the reporting and dissemination of transactions in TRACE-eligible securities that are agency pass-through mortgage-backed securities that are traded to be announced (TBA transactions) will now go into effect on Monday, November 12, 2012.
Consequently, FINRA will now launch the Securitized Products Dissemination ServiceSM (SPDSSM) on Monday, November 12, 2012. SPDS will disseminate real-time last sale data and transactions of TRACE-eligible securities that are agency pass-through mortgage-backed securities traded to be announced (TBA) via an IP Multicast channel.
Please contact FINRA Product Management for technical questions regarding this implementation change.
Please contact TRACE Data Services for questions on how to subscribe to the SPDS data feed.
