Diversity at FINRA is not just about our visible differences. Diversity is both our differences and our similarities, including our backgrounds, our cultures, our learning styles and our unique perspectives.
Equity is the fair treatment and equality of access to opportunity, information and resources for all. It’s built through the identification and elimination of unfair biases, stereotypes or barriers that may inadvertently exclude underrepresented employees. (Gartner, 2021)
Inclusion translates to everyone having the opportunity to fully participate in business success and where each person is valued for their unique skills, experiences and perspectives.
