Update - TDDS Bandwidth Upgrade User Acceptance Tests

July 20, 2023

Beginning Monday, August 14, 2023, FINRA will increase the bandwidth rate for the Trade Data Dissemination Service 2.1 (TDDS 2.1) vendor feed from 2,500 kilobits per second (Kbps) to 3,000 kilobits per second (Kbps).

TDDS 2.1 subscribers should ensure their systems can accept the higher data rates. The TDDS 2.1 data rate change does not impact any of the ORF reporting applications (FIX and TRAQS).

Testing Window Update
Because of an industry-wide MWCB test on Saturday, July 22, 2023, FINRA will only be able to test the new TDDS bandwidth rate from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. ET.

FINRA has added a TDDS bandwidth test to occur on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ET, and will continue to support the Saturday August 5, 2023, test from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET.

The TDDS 2.1 production IP addresses and ports will publish the test data. TDDS 2.1 subscribers are encouraged to participate in the test(s) in order to ensure their systems can accept the higher data rates. TDDS 2.1 subscribers participating in the test(s) should ensure their network provider is successfully processing the feed.

Note - The TDDS 2.1 data rate change and testing opportunity does not affect any of the ORF reporting applications (FIX and TRAQS) and there is no requirement for firms to submit trade reports for the test.

The conference line listed below will be open for the duration of the test. Due to a limited number of lines, firms should consider sharing the line if calling from the same location.
