Updated ATS User Guide Available

FINRA has updated the

, which provides guidelines for firms to prepare, format, submit and receive Trade Report files to and from FINRA.

Revisions to the specification include guidance on security symbol information and submissions times. When reporting ATS Trades for a security that is trading as both Regular Way and When Issued or When Distributed at the same time, firms should submit the ATS trades using the security symbol in order to uniquely identify the instrument being reported.

These changes are illustrated in the Summary of Changes table in the specification.
