Schedule an Exam
After you are enrolled to take an examination, FINRA will post a 120-day window in Web CRD in which you can schedule an appointment with Prometric to take the required qualification exam(s). Be sure to schedule your exam session as far in advance as possible to secure your desired exam date.
Step 1: Find a testing center
The first step is to find a testing center that is convenient to you. Prometric has testing centers throughout the United States and around the world.
Note: Prometric understands the importance of providing candidates with the ability to secure a preferred date, time and location to take an exam. For assistance or additional questions regarding test center capacity in a particular area and/or firms with bulk or group scheduling capacity needs, please contact Prometric at email@example.com.
Step 2: Schedule your exam
After locating a Prometric testing center, you can schedule an appointment online at www.prometric.com/finra or by calling their Contact Center toll free at (800) 578-6273 during core hours including Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (ET) and Saturday through Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (ET), excluding federal holidays.
Prometric will need to know:
- your name and FINRA ID#
- phone number where you or your firm can be reached, and
- the name of the exam or its identifying series ID (e.g., Series 7).
It is possible for you to schedule two or more different exams on the same day. However, you must make a separate appointment for each of the exams when contacting Prometric to schedule the date.
NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure that your appointments do not overlap. Appointment availability will vary by exam location.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, make sure you do so a minimum of 10 business days in advance to avoid any fees. Appointments rescheduled or cancelled within 10 business days will result in a reschedule or cancellation fee.
