SEC Approves Amendments to Eliminate the Requirement for the Senior Registered and Compliance Registered Options Principals (SROP and CROP)
Effective June 23, 2008, the requirement for separate designations of Senior Registered Options Principal and Compliance Registered Options Principal is eliminated and member firms are required to integrate the responsibility for supervision and compliance of their public customer options business into their overall supervisory and compliance programs.1 The amendments to NASD Rules 1022, 2220 and 2860 are set forth in Attachment A of this Notice.
