David Kotewa Comment On Regulatory Notice 21-19
I like what you are talking about here daily transparency on fails to deliver, synthetic short positions, married naked options contracts. Transparency on where the borrowed shares are coming from, verification of shares only being borrowed one time by firms that are borrowing out shares, verification that shares being borrowed are coming from proper sources not being borrowed from clients with cash accounts, these are the things I feel are requiring more transparency and more insight into to make sure our markets are the most transparent place to invest and allow a repair of citizen investor relationships within the market. Currently many citizens do not believe the market is a fair system and are loosing faith in the system. With better transparency and strict enforcement of rules and laws in place currently it is possible to repair the sentiment of investing citizens in my opinion.
