I entered the market as a retail investor. I had an understanding of business fundamentals and decided to test my knowledge hoping to create some wealth for my family. After a year of buying and selling stocks, I realize I can never time this right. I wanted to understand why I am always on the losing end. Now, after reading what goes on in the so called dark pools, I realize I cannot trust the system as this was not designed for retail investors with little tools. My purchases routed through dark pools while retail investors are kept out of the after hours trading? how can this be fair? do institutions are allowed to trade naked shorts and go unreported? is this right and fair for all? I am so disappointed that I wasted time and money in a system that has been designed to make money for the powerful corporations. I wish you can even the paying field for the sake of our citizens (retail investors) and our country.
