I believe I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family, not FINRA. Public Investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged few. I shouldn't have to go through any special process or pass a test before I can invest in leveraged and inverse funds, as I am capable of understanding the risks. These funds are important to my investment strategies, as they help protect (hedge) my investments. Used as a limited part of my overall portfolio, they help me seek enhanced returns, allow me to keep another portion of my money in safe, lower yielding accounts. I do not need to be "saved me from myself". I am aware of the risks and should be able to invest as I see fit.
