Limiting investment options is clipping the wings of the myself, an average investor, and many others, allowing those who are already the elite to profit off of a public market that was designed for the benefit of everyone. Leveraged and inverse funds allow every day investors such as myself to take calculated risk based on their investment plan. Restrictions and additional hurdles to jump through will mean I am are less capable of hedging my own investments for safety in an uncertain market or achieve greater returns than those who decide not to educate themselves and take advantage of these products. I do not need regulations to tell me what investment decisions are best. People such as myself who are interested in these investments have done the research, understand the risk and how they can fit into our portfolios.
