I can understand the argument for their initial creation, however I do not trust financial giants from misusing the dark pools for price suppression. Payment for order flow should be completely banned. Retail investors should be on an equal playing field as hedge funds and market makers
Every institution should have to report their short position(s) immediately and be made public. The time is takes for market makers to cover failure to delivers on the thresh hold list needs to be reduced from 13 days to 3 days. All failure to delivers should be reported T+2 days.
