Regulation, in almost every instance of its implementation has never been what it has been sold as. It is almost never to protect investors and almost always serve the self interest of those regulating it like a Trading platform removing a buy button from specific stocks.
There are thousands of sources of information for investors to research and understand these complex inverse ETFS. The only
Here’s a simpler solution…. Selling a stock that you don’t own should be illegal. Eliminate (naked) short selling… period.
The blatant manipulation against AMC and GME makes me lose complete faith in the US stock market. I am working on moving my money out of the US stock system. It's clear that our government is bought and paid for. This system with tutes lying about short positions, dark pools, secondary books by brokers, unchecked FTD's and high-frequency trading makes an unfair playing field to where
I feel these leveraged funds are an important tool for short term hedging, and their price move potential is no more than other volatile stocks or derivatives.
Here are a few suggestions to help regulate and enforce short sales that have gotten out of control in my opinion. 1. Reduce the reporting period to weekly (or preferably daily) from biweekly. 2. Require that exchanges report failures to deliver and naked shorts alongside covered shorts. 3. Reduce the holding period for reported days from 4 days to 2 or fewer. 4. Document and release the
Please investigate criminal activity such as naked shorting..... into any hedge funds that are illegally affecting a market of any given stock.
Please do something about naked shorting, synthetic shares and dark pool trading. As a new retail investor it's really disheartening to realize that I'm going against hedge funds who can create naked short and synthetic shares so they can then trade them in a second set of books to manipulate the price of stocks. Please stop these illegal and immoral activities.
Need to stop Citadel with being a market maker and shorting hedge fund. Isn’t this a conflict of interest. I have been in stock market only for 6 months but amount of manipulation that I’m seeing is unbelievable for GME and AMC. Even being on the threshold list for 13days they are still not covering and kicking can down the road. All I ask is more transparent and stop the naked shorting.
Leveraged ETF/ETN's are used as a short term balanced risk management strategy that should be available to all investors.
Primary uses are (1) offset a short term market index/asset class overbought/oversold condition without risking individual equity positions, (2) Reduce risk of owning an individual stock that could be subject to excessive price fluctuations, and (3) Balance a
Changes that I see as needed in no particular order of import: 1. All borrowed shares should be tracked in the system and only be able to be lent out 1 time maximum. No more than 200% of the entire float at one time. Shareholders should be be paid the lending fee directly and then the broker can take out what fee they deem necessary. This transaction should be transparent to the investor and
