I am Retired, and manage my IRA myself. I listen carefully to a variety of Investors using TV and Internet sources. I frequently utilize ProShare Leveraged and Inverse Funds in this endeavor. I am fully-aware of the Risks of using these vehicles Long Term. I use them for Short Term Opportunities. I would like to use these Funds well into my Future Retirement Years.
I manage my retirement financial assets based upon my financial needs and NOT FINANCIAL DESIRES. I am a retired CPA with plenty of experience in the assets I invest in. I understand risk, how it is measured and how to manage it. I do not need government permission to do what I know how to do. So please leave me alone, I can take care of myself.
I am a retired Principal of the NYSE and a retired Registered Representative. I oppose any regulatory requirements that would make it more difficult or even restrictive in the purchase of leveraged or inverse ETFs. Such decisions should be made by the investor and not by regulators. These funds can effectively be used by ALL investors as a method to enhance their portfolio or hedge a portfolio
In times of extreme volatility, leveraged funds serve an important function in the management of my retirement assets. They do not consume many dollars, yet because of their enhanced status protect the downside of my non-leveraged funds. Were they to be restricted or disallowed, I would be forced to completely exit the market, and my retirement accounts would soon be rendered useless, ravaged by
I invest and trade to support my retirement. I rely on inverse ETFs to help boost my portfolio performance. I am in the market every day, so closely monitoring my holdings, and frequently use contingency trades to protect my downside. Please do not put any regulations in place that would interfere with how I am currently supporting my retirement.
It's about time that so mething was done to reign in the financial product world. Many retail investors are purchasing financial products and derivatives with no idea of the risk they are taking. Now companies profiting off of crypto coins want investors to place retirement funds in crypto currency which is completely unregulated. No unregulated financial product should be permitted as
I ask you to not pass FINEA Reg #22-08 as I should be able to invest in a variety of securities without going through special tests. These inverse and leverage funds have always helped me to accelerate gains in my retirement account and without ability to do so threatens my ability to be ready for retirement. This is the main reason I use these types of funds, and I will be handicapped otherwise
I have been successfully trading in leveraged ETFs for over a decade. I had not been able to save much for retirement but the leveraged ETFs have allowed me to catch up on the shortfall in a meaningful and substantive way. The use of leveraged ETFs is the very foundation of my trading methods. Eliminating effective tools from the market will be devastating to my plans and hope for a comfortable
I am writing to comment against passage of proposed rule #S7-24-15. As a retiree the use of inverse and leveraged funds are important vehicles for managing risk to my retirement. They provide diversification that is not available in any other products. I do not need to be protected from using these products. Indeed if these products had not been available to me my retirement portfolio would be
I have turned a 30k retirement fund as of 3/2020 into 263k as of 4/2022 by the use of leverage funds. Please don't put restrictions on leverage and inverse funds!!!!! It's not fair that you limit small investors from making big returns while letting wealthy people have these opportunities. The returns I have made from leveraged funds will have significant outcomes for my retirement.
