Brokers should not be able to lent out our shares and use it for illegal short selling. Many brokers have this program, and some of them opt-in to lent out our shares even if the customers agreed not to.
I would think some retail investors would take offense to the way this article was written. In reality we are well educated well informed individuals that no longer believe we should just do things the way they have always been done. Leverage and inverse funds are an excellent tool to hedge against stocks and market risk and also to enhance returns in the short run as well as in the long run.
