There should be no restrictions to my ability to protect my investments by buying leveraged or inverse funds. If the market collapses (or rather WHEN it does )the inverse funds will at least give me a viable amount of recovery.
Restricting these products to only high income individuals is not protecting smaller investors but limiting their options and creating an unfair playing field. Require these etfs to disclose risks but do not increase the inequality in investment options that already exists between high and low net worth investors
This likely wouldn't protect as intended. Those with this risk appetite will simply search out other risky (and riskier) assets. Restricting the free market in this way will just hurt more than it will help. The risks associated with leveraged and inverse products is well documented, and all brokerages that offer them prompt with warnings before allowing trades. Adding extra bars for entry
I oppose regulation of Cryptocurrency, ETFs and other investments which are not in the SEC's purview. My US Senator and House Representative will hear of this from me!
Dear FINRA,
I feel that there is already too much regulation with respect to what FINRA considers complex investments. In fact, these products allow investors to protect and hedge their investments in market downturns. Moreover, these products allow investors to learn about markets in the least expensive way. For example, the inverted and/or leveraged ETFs cost less and are way more preferred
Freedom per the constitution you have no right to our investments
I oppose the proposed regulations to limit access to leveraged and inverse funds. I regularly use such investments to take advantage of key trends and, most importantly, to help manage risk in my investment portfolio. With uncertain times and high inflation ahead, having access to these investments for everyone is more important than ever. Public investments should be available to all of the
Restricting retail traders' access to levered products further tilts the table toward the financially privileged. All players should have access to all products.
I, not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family.
And, Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
This needs to be taken seriously
by FINRA.
Not only do I have the right to share my views,
but you are required to take my comments into
consideration in deciding whether to move forward.
