I totally disagree with the proposed steps to limit trading of inverse and leveraged ETFs. It would be reasonable to make the broker warn you about the risks the first time such an investment is made, but not to restrict or delay a trade.
Freedom to trade in the stock market should not be hindered in order to give others an advantage. Also, trading on uptrends and downtrends should not be hindered since its a natural movement of stock market price action.

I received and appreciated a notice from the trading platform that advised of the volatile nature of the trade, however that is as far as any regulation needs to go.
Your fear of people losing money has the potential to cause real losses for me. Its ridiculous that my graduate degrees or years trading may mean nothing to my ability to trade.

I strongly oppose any restrictions on the trading of any of the fund types in the notice particularly leveraged and inverse ETFs or ETNs involving indices or volatility. Risks are clearly laid out in the prospectus. Not the governments job to restrict the freedom to invest in these products in order to protect people who cant be bothered to read the prospectus and then get burned by risks clearly
We are adults and capable of deciding what is a safe investment and what is not. I've traded leveraged products for a specialized type of trading since 2010. I have 51 years experience and resent government supervision.
