Rather than limiting access to these products, perhaps increase education on them. Leveraged products are not discussed in any academic curriculum on neither a high school level nor university level. I believe myself and other retail investors should have the ability to utilize "complex" investment products. The risk factors involved are clearly communicated by the prospectus and even by the disclosures from the brokerage prior to investing. The ability to utilize these funds is instrumental in optimizing out portfolios to meet our investing goals.
I am totally opposed to any restrictions on the freedom to choose what securities I'm allowed to buy. If protecting the public from excessive risk is the goal, then there are overwhelming categories of securities that Regulators would have to restrict. We would have not a free market but a restrictive one. It is the individual's responsibility and right to determine how much
I feel that no one has the right to restrict anyone in there right to invest in any stocks or bonds . These people have the right to invest in any way they see fit ... Thank you.
I should have the right to invest MY money the way l decide. There is no good reason for this proposed rule.
