Executive Summary
On August 22, 2002, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved new NASD Rule 2315, Recommendations to Customers in OTC Equity Securities (
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) (f/k/a
National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (“NASD”)) is filing with the Securities
and Exchange Commission (“SEC” or “Commission”) a proposed rule change to adopt
new FINRA Rule 5122.
Summary
FINRA has adopted amendments to Rule 6730 (Transaction Reporting) to require members to append a modifier to a corporate bond trade that is part of a portfolio trade when reporting to FINRA’s Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE). The amendments to Rule 6730 will take effect on May 15, 2023.
