Inverse funds allow me to hedge my portfolio against a market downturn. It is almost like having insurance for your car. Nobody wants to be in a auto accident, but it is nice to know that you are insured in case you are. I did not have to pass any special test before getting my auto insurance policy. I have the right choose my investments!
I believe more regulations on investment choices are not good for a true free market. If something is risky, then education should be the tool, not government regulations. Leveraged investments are part of the entire investment family. It has its position as kind of choices offered to the experienced investors.

Regarding the proposed FINRA Regulatory Notice #22-08, I strenuously object to ANY legislation restricting ANY investment I choose to make. I have my own best interests at heart -- regulators only want power and could care less whether I have access to the investments I need for my own personal financial security. It is appalling how patronizing, paternalistic, meddlesome, and tyrannical
I make my own decisions - not you! I've been investing for years and should still be able to control what I invest in.
