I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS ON SELF-DIRECTED RETAIL INVESTORS TRADING IN OPTIONS AND OTHER COMPLEX PRODUCTS!
The advent of low cost self-directed trading in options and so called complex ETPs has greatly democratized investing by giving average people the opportunity to employ investment strategies previously available only to the wealthy.
I dont want the government restricting what I can trade or
To Whom it May Concern,
I disagree strongly with the proposal to restrict trading of leveraged and inverse ETFs. Requiring minimum income levels or minimum assets as a requirement of trading these investment vehicles is once again telling the average American that one must already be wealthy in order to be allowed to pursue wealth. Furthermore, it will do so precisely at a time when the
I am opposed to any legislation preventing me from trading these types of securities. I have been trading options for 15 years, and have been trading leveraged and inverse etfs for at least 10 years. I know how they work and have studied these vehicles at length. I studied options and used practice accounts over 15 years ago before I ever used options. I use options and leveraged etfs as
I use inverse funds to make a living and I would have no income without the ability to trade inverse funds. My husband and my father are terminally ill and Im their caregiver- which requires me to be home 24 hours each day. Trading inverse funds at home is the only way I have been able to make a living!
Dear Sirs: I am providing the following information in response to the possibility that FINRA is apparently in the process of promulgating restrictions that may cause severe harm to my ability to take advantage of the current system that allows investment in public securities and ETFs. As such, my ability to provide financial support to myself, my wife, and my immediate family may be destroyed
I am an individual investor and object to any restrictions to my ability to trade as I see fit especially limiting or eliminating my ability to trade inverse and leveraged funds. I have been using these judiciously for years in order to protect my investments from significant loses or to improve my gains. Please leave me alone. Thanks for reading this.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I understand that FINRA is considering implementation of restrictions/rules which might impede my ability to invest in leveraged and/or inverse funds. As a small investor, these financial instruments allow me to diversify and/or hedge my portfolio with a great deal of efficiency. Please do not place any further restrictions on the trading in these valuable trading tools!
i -- NOT REGULATORS -- should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. I should not have to go through any special process to invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds ( I have been trading these over 20 years ). Trading leveraged and inverse funds are a limited and important part of my overall investment strategy.
To whom it may concern
I am very concerned about the possible legislation that you are proposing. Some of the funds that would be effected by this legislation are an important part of my hedging process. Taking this ability away would severely impact my trading ability. I request that you do not remove the freedom to trade these investment vehicles that are not available anywhere else.
The proposal to ban or limit leveraged ETFs is downright wrong and is un-American in every aspect. These are valid & legal securities, just like gold, or bonds, or any single stock. Do traders of these assets need special approval, or have any other restrictions to their trading?
An investor or trader can lose just as easily and quickly with any of these assets, or even real estate
