Enforce rules, larger penalties, end naked short selling, transparency or end/reduce dark pools, limit high frequency trading, limit ability to short sale-naked-over and over, transparency in short sales, regulation sho-strict adherence and compliance regarding threshold list
Anything and everything related to short positions, including synthetic or naked shorts should be made as transparent as possible, as soon as possible. No more shuffling around FTD's, no more short ladder attacks, no more waiting days/weeks for the data to be published. Level the playing field for all.
We want better short sell reporting, end of day settlements, better short sell marking of shares, much stronger penalties or jail time for short sell violations, and market manipulation. Stop allowing retail investors to get ripped off and bullied. Things like dark pools, naked shorting, and general lack of transparency makes retail investors lose confidence in the market as a whole.
Short selling to bankrupt a company should be illegal. Not that the legal system does anything about the naked shorting that's being abused. Short selling is essential to the market, but something needs to actually be done to the hedge funds who abuse this system. It's not fair and it's not right.
I support these initiatives. Full reporting on naked shorting as well. Heavy enforcement of shorting regulations and of these initiatives.
All short positions made by large institutions should be reported including naked short positions daily.
Shorts need to be forced to cover, especially when there's such blatant market manipulation and possibility of naked shorting
Along with getting updated publicly accessible free short interest daily to level the playing field, hedge funds should have to file their short positions in 13Fs #AMC Naked shorting also needs to be identified and stopped and FTD's need to be purchased. Can't have all these "IOU's"
There should be more transparency on short positions and action taken to prevent naked shorts which will hurt the retail investors.
It’s ok to short shares that you own. It’s never ok to naked short or create synthetic shares.
