Please do not remove the ability for me to trade leveraged funds. I am aware of the risks involved and am willing to take those risks for the potential gains. I shouldn't have to pass a test or have a certain amount of money or go through any other process to be able to trade these funds. I do not need the government to tell me how to do my investing! Thank you.
Everyone should have the ability to invest in leveraged investments as long as they understand the risks. Placing restrictions on the small investor creates disadvantages while large institutions take advantage of opportunities. Leveraged investments as long as they are not your entire portfolio allows the small investor to maximize profits without placing large amounts of capital at risk. Please
This ruling unfairly limits the ability to invest and profit or lose accordingly. Requiring education to the investor is reasonable but prohibiting access is rigging the game. It's understood that this environment carries heightened risk for these products. Putting a ruling like this in place now will restrict individuals access to these products in the future when risk is much lower,
What you propose is too broad and intrusive for a free market. These instruments have important legitimate uses. One can't completely eliminate risk from risk assets. There must be some role for personal responsibility. Rather focus on education, and perhaps limits for those who are over-leveraged on margin. Apart from that, taking occasional losses is how we learn to become better
Dear Sirs, I have been investing over 40 years and understand that investing involves risk. Especially leveraged funds. However, I feel the potential advantages of the leverage afforded by leveraged funds provide an opportunity to improve the performance of my portfolio. Life consists of risks and they cannot be eliminated. Please do not restrict my ability to amplify the returns of a small
Inverse fund products provide a necessary alternative to shorting an over-valued security while minimizing the risk with a direct short of a security. Additionally, leveraged products are an alternative to margining ones account, which can lead to margin calls. Lastly, most brokerages have internal controls to limit individual's exposure to any risks that may be associated with
Hello,
I should be able to invest in any public investment without regulation. Leveraged and inverse funds play an important role in my and my families investment strategy. Anytime I made a trade in an inverse or leveraged fund I get a warning and disclosure and have to check a box saying I agree and understand the risks associated with the fund. As an investor that is plenty of disclosure of the
Dear FINRA
I have invested in the VXX many times as I have used this to make money when the market is volatile. I am not a high net worth person but feel strongly that I should continue to have this option. I am aware that it is a higher risk but I am willing to take that risk. I do not believe that you should take that option from me. Thanks for taking my feelings into consideration.
Dear FINRA,
As mentioned in many comments already made by the others, only allowing professional traders to trade complex ETF such as TQQQ and SQQQ is unfair to retail traders, please don't do that!! Besides of risk, these instruments could also be used to hedge risk, everything has two sides!
I do support more carification from the issuer to investors of these instruments.
Thank you
I am capable of understanding the risks inherent to an investment product.
So is this public, this is the crypto age. It isn't like we little people do not know what risk is, and need a paternalistic guiding hand to prevent us from hurting ourselves.
This honestly looks like a bunch of rich old guys cutting the rope ladder to keep everyone else down.
"Leverage for me, but none
