Why does a " dark " pool exist? We demand fairness and transparency in the stock market. How can we prevent " naked shorts " / synthetic shares? Why is there T + 2 when the market makers can see our trades instantly? This is NOT fair. There are RAMPANT FRAUD AND MANIPULATION.
We need more transparency for every short position so we can see the manipulation.
Short interest reporting enhancement is needed
We (retail investors) simply need to know more information on short positions on all available platforms - free or premium services alike. The information should also be as accurate and as current as possible with little to no delays for the entire market to participate fairly. Thank you.
At a minimum we should have transparency in the market to see the same information hedge funds and market makers see also to see short positions that effect market prices
I support transparency in short reporting process and accountability. In cases such as the Robinhood stopping trade on AMC have created a distrust for the market and weaken the economy for all. Making data available in a single place will help restore some of the trust lost into the institution and improve confidence in our economy as whole.
Shorting is a fundamental part of the free market, but surely naked shorting of any kind be it physical stock, bonds etc should carry such a severe penalty that hedge funds thinks twice before going down that path. Hedge funds should be playing by the same rules as anyone investing in the markets, it should be free and transparent for all participants. The SEC has turned a blind eye for to long
