I am not a high net worth individual but I understand these investments and have invested successfully in them for years.
I see no reason to hinder my ability to freely trade in these securities.
I know the risks of inverse and leveraged etfs. I have bought tqqq at a great discount and will be making a lot of money when the markets recover. Stop restricting free trade.
The regulators should govern via guidance and not try to rule. The investors in the market understand the risks involved in trading of Leveraged and inverse funds and do not need to be regulated as suggested.
It should be my decision if I want to trade in any public investments not the regulators, nor that I have to go through a special test. These investment should be for everyone not only for the privilege.
I have the right to invest, buy, sell or trade investment products as Im responsible for my own actions. No third party should be involved in my personal business.
Please allow for the inverse ETFs to function as they are. There are enough guard rails in place to allow people to make educated judgement. We should not be restricting trading of these any more.
I should be able to choose public investments that are right for me. I don't need a special test or meet some arbitrary net worth to have access to these trading options.
I strongly oppose this regulation. I have traded these instruments for years. Going after these while the wild wild west of crypto has people losing tons of money is outrageous.
I strongly oppose any regulation of trading inverse and leveraged funds. Fair warnings of risk and complexity have and should be given, but legal restrictions are an unnecessary infringement on freedoms.
Comments I understand the risk of leveraged long and short funds I use them to offset market movements and trade them shot term and should not be limited to use them .
