I oppose restrictions to my right to invest in public investments.
I should not have to pass some arbitrary "test" in order to implement the investment strategies I think work best for myself and my family.
Opening up investments to everyone will lead to a more informed public and a more transparent investment environment.
Why should any investment be limited to the elites and privileged. People should be able to make their own decisions regarding risks regardless of income or net worth. There should be no limitations (tests, readings, income, net wirth, etc.) of when someone buys, holds, or sells leveraged and inverse funds.
It's not the place of federal regulators to decide whether an investor is "smart enough" for particular commodities, nor to impose means testing that discriminates against the less affluent. Further, such rules could impose a disparate impact on minority communities given the current wealth distribution, and village civil rights laws.
Absolute tyranny to restrict public investment opportunities while a privileged few would have limitless opportunities.
Deeming a product "too complex" and requiring testing or demonstration of high net worth is proof that this concept of investment freedom is something a few at the top enjoy and seek to strip from the remainder.
Respect the intelligence and free will of the public and do not place limitations on investing in leveraged or inverse funds. Allow everyone, not just the super wealthy, to have access to these specialized investment vehicles without having onerous testing and qualification requirements.

I oppose restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. We the public should be able to choose public investments that are right for us. These should be available to all not just the privileged! We should not have to pass through any special processes like testing before we can invest !!

I understand the risks associated with inverse and leveraged investment products. These proposed restrictions will not protect me from losing money, they will interfere with my ability to plan for my future. I should not have to pass a test before I am allowed to invest in public securities.
