Dear FINRA , I oppose legislation restricting my right to invest in leveraged funds.
To whom it may concern: The list of proposed funds/investments considered for restrictions seems a bit excessive. Personally I would agree to do require restrictions on double and triple leveraged funds and anything crypto, but ETNs and Global Real Estate?
After closing the record, the arbitration panel considers all of the evidence, deliberates together, and decides what relief the claimant is entitled to, if any.
I have been using leveraged & inverse ETF for several years. I understand the risks involved. These ETFs allow me to profit with the large players. The inverse ETF allow me to effectively short equities inside my IRA. I have a self directed IRA. Removing the ability to use leveraged & inverse ETFs will reduce my investment gains
Does FINRA only wish to cater to the "RICH CATS" of Wall Street? ETFs are a Godsend to smaller investors, WHOM can NOT open $1 Million + accounts with Goldman Sachs, or Morgan Stanley....and get special privileges (edges) like getting 1st dibs on new IPOs etc. NOW, inverse funds are under review so SMALL fry WILL NOT be allowed to 'short' sectors of the markets? MUST we all
These proposed regulations are totally ridiculous!
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for you and your family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
This is an insult to all investors out there like myself who hold these funds. We are VERY capable of what we are getting into & do not need these measure imposed on us. Public investments should be available to ALL, not only the privileged!
