I consider these proposed rules to be yet another abridgment of a citizen's right to do with his money what he chooses. I have half a century of experience in investing in stocks and bonds of all varieties. I learned how to do it the hard way, not by taking a test, but by self-study and experimenting with various instruments. I administered 2 employee pension plans as well as my own
Regulation, in almost every instance of its implementation has never been what it has been sold as. It is almost never to protect investors and almost always serve the self interest of those regulating it like a Trading platform removing a buy button from specific stocks.
There are thousands of sources of information for investors to research and understand these complex inverse ETFS. The only
To whom it may concern,
I oppose any restrictions on my right to choose to make investments in any public investment. Investments should be available to all, not just the rich and privileged. I am perfectly capable of making my own investment decisions, I don't need you to tell me what is and what isn't a good investment.
I have already lost out on tens of thousand of dollars
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST. I, not regulators, should get to choose the public investments that are right for my investment strategies. Public investments should be available to all, not the select privileged. I oppose requirements of regulator-imposed tests, sharing private financial information, obtaining special permission, and any and all other restrictions on leveraged/
This is copy and pasted from a Reddit post but outlines exactly what I want to see to ensure all the cards are on the table. All short sale shall be reported to finra by end of each settlement day. Rule 2. Finra shall make public report the day to day short
This is only aimed at making rich people richer and normal working class people not be able to make investments to move up in the world. The stock market, trade, and investments should be open to all. This is ridiculous!
Regarding your considered regulation, I strongly oppose having index and reverse index ETFs having anything to do with it.
While I see some merit in making sure retail investors fully understand risks before directly trading on margin or shorting a stock, the proposal to restrict index/reverse index ETF investors is completely meritless; theres no specialized knowledge required to let the ETFs
No need to protect me from any investment vehicles. Once again overreach by govt regulations. I use leverage funds to help with both sides of the trade. How about educating versus regulating
Please do not restrict my ability to trade leveraged or inverse ETF's. These are a great money maker for me. With respect, I probably have a better understanding of how these work than anyone at your agency.
Unless future tradings for retailers and institutions likewise will be banned all together, I dont see why leveraged and inverted ETFs should be shunned for the retailers alone. At least the losses of an ETF is more controllable.
