This is just more [REDACTED]. Government regulators got involved with blockfi and Celsius to prevent average Americans from getting 8% return on their savings by staking their stable coins and now they want to interfere with other investment vehicles. Leave us be! Isn't it bad enough that they created double digit annual inflation that they have to do this? Are they going to stop lotteries
Investing should not be controlled by hedge funds, fund managers, and the ultra wealthy. It should be free and accessible to all. Taking away citizens small rights little by little never ends well for the government. Don't limit investing ability to net worth. Information, tools, classes, and all sorts of material are more than readily available for individuals to consume and make their own
Individual investors should have the right to invest in a variety of asset classes and financial securities with varying amounts of risk rather than restrict them to a privileged few (trusts, hedge funds, high net worth individuals, etc.).
The proposed rules are overly restrictive. There are no similar restrictions on other securities such as stocks and bonds. Most investments have the potential to gain or lose value in response to market conditions. It is not appropriate or necessary for crypto to be actively discouraged.
I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I oppose any restrictions on my right to invest in public investments
I think it is good and reasonable move. It will help make the market less like casino. The question is how will the test be designed to make it really informative to retail investors.
I'm not in favor of the proposed restrictions.
I believe that regulating my right to invest in what might be of benefit one day to myself and my family, is tantamount to disallowing me to better myself, or even prosper. If I feel I am ready and willing to absorb the risk of losing money to take a chance on possibly making money...then I should at least be allowed to do so!
I absolutely object to having my established rights curtailed in anyway shape or form. It is truly anti-American to restrict my right to invest in public investments.
