This is an overstep by the regulatory authority. Investors should be able to continue to purchase inverse and leveraged funds. This is an infringement on the basic rights of investors. People who purchase these types of funds obviously have the knowledge of what they are doing. If your concerned about lack of consumer knowledge then have them sign some type of form that they acknowledge the risks
Please Do not restrict our ability to buy or sell any type of security . There is no reason for this and you never restrict the big money from doing what ever they want.
Thank You
There is absolutely no reason to limit ownership of leveraged and inverse ETF's. "Government is best that governs least, because the people discipline themselves". - Jefferson
Leveraged and inverse funds are an important segment of my investment strategies. They allow me to hedge my investments and a the same time provide me with the opportunity to seek enhanced returns.
Dear regulators,
I have been investing in leveraged and public funds for a while and I have enjoyed that flexibility as an investor. The proposed restrictions on these funds and public investments infringe upon the rights of individual investors such as myself and deprive me of the same opportunities as other larger players in the market under the veil of protecting me and people like myself
I have been investing in the stock market for 50 years. Do not restrict me or tell me what I have to do re: leveraged and inverse funds.
I urge you not to update investors options on vehicles, etfs and mutual funds, that restrict options to only those deemed acceptable to regulators, ie, un-elected officials. Inverse and leverage products are not complicated and a person should not be restricted by the potential of their own mistakes or incompetence. They are great tools to balance a portfolios risk profile. Plenty of bad actors
Investing in leveraged funds has allowed me to make significant gains towards retirement in my IRA and recapture my retirement goals that was destroyed by the 2008 housing crash. Without access to these type of leveraged funds I will have to resort to crypto currency type investments.
I'm an informed investor and aware of the possible risks involved so please don't take away the freedom of what I want to do with my money.
I'm reading that FINRA wants to limit or remove leveraged ETFs that we can buy! I don't want anyone telling me what I can or can NOT invest in! Leveraged ETFs are for traders and I've been trading for over10 years. Doesn't FINRA have anything better to do than trying to control individual traders?
