For self-directed investors, let us take on the responsibility for trading in so-called "complex" products. There's no need for your protection unless we ask for it.
What I do with my money is my business. SO BUTT OUT OF MY BUSINESS
I want to be able to invest my money in what I choose
It is people's freedom to choose the investment product they prefer. Regulators should be not step in after a fund has been existing for so long.
Please, do not restrict me from investing in certain investments that you think I am not smart enough to understand. These securities are a part of my retirement plan and will set me back 10-20 years if I can not invest in them. You are not my financial advisors, you do not know what is good for my financial health.
I strongly urge the FINRA regulators to drop plans to restrict the use of leveraged or inverse funds. I am perfectly able to read the prospectuses and calculate the risks associated with them. There is no need to require any testing to see if investors understand how they work. These funds are very important to my long term investment planning and help me to protect my capital during periods
I want the right to use my money and place it in whatever financial institution I decide! It's my monet, I will do as I please!!
Comments: FINRA is just another expanding bureaucracy expanding to meet the needs of an expanding bureaucracy.
Their timing is propitious: just as "buy and hold" stock investors are about to get clobbered senseless by a prolonged recession, they want to close off all other alternatives.
I've never seen any point to FINRA and they really ought to be banished from having
we need leveraged funds for our investment
