*Short positions should be reported daily. I feel that this will provide more insight to the existence of Naked Shorts. *Synthetic Short Positions should most assuredly be reported. *Short volume should be capped and the cap kept low to allow for organic and transparent trading and limit the opportunity to manipulate the stock. *Dark pools should no longer be allowed. *Days on loan should be
Please crack down on those naked shorts, synthetic stocks, and hedge-fund manipulations. Thanks.
More transparency and an equal fair trade market where illegal naked shorting is minimized.
I do not want to see companies fined for breaking rules and laws. For instance, if a company is found to be naked shorting, it should be forced to close all short positions immediately. Failure to do so should result in prison time for senior staff. If I counterfeit a dollar I go to prison. The same should apply if I counterfeit a share. If law enforcement took a cut of my counterfeit dollar,
Comments: This is excessive and unnecessary. How about focusing on fraudulent activity like naked shorting and unfair broker practices?
Please stop naked short selling and increase transparency in the market. Also, eliminate dark pools.
Retail traders have to follow the rules, its a skewed system where large funds are able to trade shares under the table outside of market pricing. "dark pools" need to be completely shut down. Every share needs to be accounted for, naked shorting is an unfair advantage and also needs to be reined in. Every transaction, long or short needs to be reported and logged, there is no question
Naked shorting, synthetic share creation, and dark pool order flows for payment need to stop. The algorithms are out of control and have caused our financial systems to be nothing more than programmed manipulation by hedge funds which do not have the interest of the retail trader at heart. Shorts need to report daily and FTDs need to be fully resolved by day 13th - not just the minimum payments
We must have daily reporting of short positions. We must see strict regulation of naked shorting and massive fines for abuse. We must see strict regulation of dark pools. We must see daily reporting of FTDs. I have zero faith in our financial system after witnessing the blatant manipulation perpetrated by certain hedge funds and market makers all while retail investors are blamed.
Shorting is a fundamental part of the free market, but surely naked shorting of any kind be it physical stock, bonds etc should carry such a severe penalty that hedge funds thinks twice before going down that path. Hedge funds should be playing by the same rules as anyone investing in the markets, it should be free and transparent for all participants. The SEC has turned a blind eye for to long
