Allow poor people struggling to make ends meet to freely trade Crypto without being taxed again. This help will go a long way to wage war against joblessness , daily crimes ; decongest prison & promote safe society. Allow the poor to survive & live better .
It is more than obvious that several agencies are not complying with the rules for naked shorts and FTD's. Retail investors should have the same real time information as hedge funds to include short interest and real time trading.
There are already additional notices and annual agreements that must be acknowledged when trading in these type of securities. Just because these securities are deemed risky by an arbitrary standard, doesn't mean they should be restricted. There are a number of other investments available to the public that are much more risky than leveraged and inverse ETF's.
My broker already provides special notifications regarding such funds. That is sufficient.
I absolutely oppose restrictions like means testing. That is a regressive measure, creating barriers to entry for small investors.
Leveraged funds are a central part of my investment strategy. I have traded in them for over a decade.
My family is in an awkward position. With me as the main breadwinner, I need an income with a work from home job. I have studied stock trading for years and require access to both leveraged and inverse ETF's. Mostly, I use them for hedging my investments and this is crucial in any market condition.
I do not want regulators deciding what i can invest in. I have been investing in these types of funds for over 10 years... We understand and accept the risk. We can invest for our family. We are about free trade. Do not let regulatory screw this up too.
Dear Members of the FINRA Regulatory Committee:
For over 5 years, my livelihood has depended on the availability of trading in Volatility-Linked Funds such as ProShares SVXY and UVXY. Placing additional restrictions on these products will greatly affect my ability to make a livelihood and therefore I strongly oppose restrictions to invest in these products.
I want to express my stance on opposing any regulation restricting retail investors from freely purchasing any ETN or ETF instruments. Baring retail investors from participating in these types of trading instruments seeks to only put hurdles in the way of their profitability and ability to grow their portfolios.
Comments:its my choice to trade any and all securities including leveraged and contra etfs. The information on its risks is widely available and I reviewed it many times. Its my responsibility. I and we do the Due Diligence as long as full disclosure is provided.
Thank you,
Mirek Wachowiak
This kind of regulation will only make it more difficult for the average citizen to achieve financial independence and awareness. This is the kind of barrier that allows institutions to maintain their monopoly on advanced trading tactics and instruments. There is already plenty of information and cautionary warnings in place that any reasonable person would understand their risks.
