I am 65 years old, and for years I have used leveraged funds to secure my financial future. Among other things, they are a very effective hedge against drawdowns in the market. I am not wealthy, and losing the ability to use leveraged funds would adversely affect my retirement.
Please do not take away tools from small, individual investors. There are too many ways the big guys have to beat small investors with their unfair rules. The markets are rigged to their advantage. I NEED to use inverse and leveraged funds to avoid financial disaster in my retirement account.
Please do not restrict my ability to invest into leveraged funds. I have had very good results by investing into these funds in the past and have incorporated them into my overall investment strategy. Restricting my ability to invest in these funds will hamper my ability to strengthen my retirement plan.
The Government has no right to tell us what we can invest in . All government officials seem to line there pockets from investing but the Americans are not aloud to make a little extra money to help them thru retirement. I do not need regulators to impose this measure on me or the American people.
Trading platforms offer advice and risks associated with positions made by investor. Educating people who wish to save for retirement, even at an early age, should be given every opportunity to make personal choices. I support continuation of our current options made available through our brokerages.
I am retired and rely on my investments to provide income. I swing trade the market when it reaches extremes of bullishness or pessimism. By using leveraged and inverse ETF's I make money without risking my entire portfolio.. These products are not complex for someone who has no financial training but follows the market.
I have been trading leveraged etf's for 10 years or more. I have never lost money in them. I feel that they are safe for me as I am very careful how much I invest, usually no more than 20% but usually 10%. I need them in order to preserve my lifestyle in retirement.
These types of funds are crucial to retirement accounts that are not eligible for margin. Inverse ETF's give you the ability to protect yourself from downside risk, which is important because one is not able to put on any short positions in a retirement account.... and sometimes regular cash accounts too!
