I totally object to limiting investors rights to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. I acknowledge the risks associated with this, educated about them, and stay on top of the current situations.
Please make no changes in the regulations involving leveraged and inverse funds. I for one know the risks and need no help in determining the suitability of an investment vehicle for my portfolio.
I strongly believe that I should be able to choose publicly traded companies as I see fit for my investments. i fully understand the risks involved with leverage and I accept them.
I've been investing in leveraged and inverse ETFs for many years. I understand the risks and rewards. I hope that these investment choices remain open to all. Thank you.
Everyone who buys leveraged ETF's knows the risk. They should be available for all investors. Focus on already weathy people who commit acutal fraud.
I oppose restrictions to my "RIGHT" to invest!!!!! I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I use these to hedge against a market collapse that I have no control in.
We investors know the risk associated with our investments, including leveraged funds. We don't need to take test to invest our own money!
Do not limit my freedom to manage my own asset. Broker house has done due diligent to inform me about the risk. That is enough!
On behalf of the National Association of Securities Dealers ("NASD"), I want to thank the Committee for this opportunity to testify. My name is Daniel M. Sibears and I am a Senior Vice President and Deputy for Member Regulation at NASD in Washington, D.C.
I use inverse and leveraged ETF's to reduce risk in my portfolio. They allow me to preserve assets without large amounts of selling and missing out on dividends.
